This winter, Christmas is bluer than before. We just lost Mac, AKA Ian McLagen, to the heavenly skies. It’s just a shame that he didn’t get to tour with Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets. Mac is also missing out on his Rod Stewart and the Faces reunion tour, a plan that was in the works for 2015. I’ll never forget seeing The Small Faces and then later Rod Stewart and the Faces in the 70’s in San Diego. Their music totally impacted my love for rock ‘n roll. His songwriting and the sound of that Wurlitzer and B3 that Mac laid down on all of those recordings was a huge reason why they were hits. Check him out online and see all the other bands that he recorded with like the Rolling Stones. Ian McLagen RIP. You will never be forgotten.
Happiness for most of us is being with family and close friends for the holidays which looks good for me! I have three shows coming up this month in California, then heading back to Austin for New Year’s Eve, followed by a very fun tour planned for most of January with Dale Watson and Reverend Horton Heat through the Midwest and East coast cities of the US.
I will be blogging about the January 2015 tour. You can follow me here and on Facebook as well as twitter!
Here’s to success, love and happiness and abundance for all. Enjoy being with your families. I know I will.
See ya next year! Cheers, rosie
Being with those you love feels like “Christmas Every Day!”
