Christmasville 2020

Greetings from my kitchen in Austin, Texas. The winter holidays are coming up and I’m thinking about icing cookies! The Christmas tunes on the radio always cheer me up and get me right back in the spirit. It’s a good time to mention that my Christmasville CD is for sale at my music store (Link here) and makes a great stocking stuffer! Also my new Etsy store is offering a holiday sale on some adorable jackets, boots and shoes! (Link here). Since the world is still dealing with the Pandemic, many like myself, cannot be with their family or loved ones over the holidays so I’ve taken up learning the piano and even started painting again to keep myself from feeling alone. It has not been an easy time for any of us but there seems to be good news for a Covid 19 vaccine coming early next year and a probable end to the virus.  I’m so grateful to all the generous people in my life who have been supporting my Wednesday’s “3’s A Charm” livestreams on Facebook, it’s been a lot of fun to do them! Also thankful to Mule Kick Productions for all of their amazing help in keeping the show active and going strong. Exciting news for them with the Palomino Documentary in the works! I can’t wait to see this film titled “Palomania”! I’ll let you know when it gets released.

I look forward to getting out and performing again when this is all over and I promise I’m gonna give it all I got when I get back to it. I’ve been chomping at the bit to be on stage along with some of my favorite comrades, doing the very thing we love, playing live music. Hope you’ll join me when I do!  One final thought, I just want to take a moment to pay tribute to some of the musicians that we lost this year, musicians and songwriters who’ve shaped our lives with their music. Little Richard, John Prine, Terry Clarke, David Olney,Jerry Jeff Walker, Johnny Bush, Billy Joe Shaver. If it were not for these songwriters, the early days of Austin Texas would have been a very dull place to hang out in. Also guitarists Eddie Van Halen, John “Bucky” Pittzarelli and Peter Green. Play those CD’s or download the tunes from these awesome players and writers, your life will be better for it. Wishing everyone a safe holiday and good wishes for a much better New Year, just on the horizon! Cheers, rosie
