Happy Holidays!

As the old year comes to an end I’d like to thank everyone for supporting my live shows by coming out and dancing and picking up a T-shirt or CD. It’s been a very busy year of touring and I’ll have to say that I’m quite ready for a holiday rest~ Nothing like being with family and friends for the holidays. Good food, good music and catching up on some good stories, everyone has one!

I’m excited to finish my last blues recording session and get it out to you all. So far, the title of my new CD will be titled after one of the songs I wrote with Rachel Gladstone “A Simple Case Of The Blues”.

The year 2015 started out with a bang on with a tour with Reverend Horton Heat and Dale Watson and his Lonestars. T’was a chilly tour in the East Coast but a warm reception. I met a zillion more folks this way and made some cool new friends. Springtime SXSW in Austin was crazy busy ending up with a fun tribute to the Late Great Doug Sahm at the Paramount Theater. I know that there is a plan to try and induct him into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame next year which would make perfect sense! It was also a great year playing locally at the Continental Club with my Rhythm Rockers as well as the Elephant Room with my Blue Moon Jazz Quartet. It’s always good to be home but what fun getting on the road to bring some good down home Texas music to the crowds across the map.

The Nashville Boogie in Nashville last May was a blast and will be repeated in 2016 with a stellar line up so I’m looking forward to that. Also looking forward to the Sirius Radio Outlaw Country Cruise ship which heads out from Miami to the Caymen Islands in early February. It’s gonna be a great year and I plan on taking some time to finish some more paintings and to finish my book. The road will be less travelled but I assure you there will be some “rosie creativity” going on inside these four walls. Keep in touch here at the site and I’ll be sending you news as it unfolds. Happy New Year everyone and keep your self safe and close to those you love. Be good to your fellow men and women out there but most of all be good to yourselves. Do what you want and need for your soul!  Cheers big ears…xoxo rosie flores
