Autumn leaves will Fall!

Hello from my writing retreat n Maryland near the Chesapeake Bay. I always find that the Fall is the best time to pull it all back and take a breath. This year found me running so fast and trying to catch my breath from all the travel and time changes, it was kinda hard to keep up with myself. I often hear: “Rosie I don’t know how you do it” I guess the reality of that is just that; a artist’s gotta do what an artist’s gotta do! It’s the late hours and sometimes bad food, lack of sleep and too much drinking that wears on me but for the most part, I so have spent 2015 making so many great new friends, hanging out with old ones and have had a chance to live my life exactly as I want to, playing my guitar and singing for a living. How lucky am I? There are holes missing in my life’s dream that are not yet fulfilled but that’s what the future is for.

In the very near future, I’ve got plans to hang out in the studio. Two of my favorite guitar players, Earl Slick and Kenny Vaughn will be joining me separately for two separate and exciting projects! Yep more living my life exactly as I want coming into view. More on those projects in the coming months. I’m here at this retreat working on my book of memoirs. Getting closer and closer to the finish line, now all I need is a publishing deal!(fingers crossed). Those who know that I like to paint can see some of my work displayed at Jackson Ranch in San Antonio for a reception on Nov. 15th. Also there will be the art work of the very talented Patricia Vonne and SA singer Michael Martin. Unfortunately I will probably not be able to make the show as I’m busy working on recording, but I’ll try my best! Take care ya’ll, shed your old skin with the falling leaves and be ready for a wonderful holiday. Don’t forget to pick up a copy of my Christmasville CD here on this web site. It’s gotten rave reviews, I’ve heard it’s pretty dang cool! Adios! rosie xo
