Hot Town, Summer in the City (Austin)

The first day of summer was in full swing. Lots going on in town with my Wednesday night residency at the Continental Gallery singing some of favorite songs with The Blue Moon Jazz Quartet (8:30pm) featuring Jim Stringer on guitar, T Jarrod Bonta on piano and Larry Eisenberg on upright bass. I’d say the summer is starting off with a bang…

Fourth Of July will be a good time to celebrate Independence Day at the Continental Club with our new band GUITAR LEGS featuring guitarist extraordinaire, Sophia Johnson, and myself on some cool surf, 60’s, blues and western swing tunes in our set. We promise the licks will be a’flyin’! Oh, and Guitar Legs will pick up our Tuesday night residency at the Continental Club in August!

Just had a great night at the Broken Spoke sitting in and dancing to The Jesse Dayton band who’s been absent from here for sometime. Everyone was happy to see him back at the Spoke! I also enjoyed sitting in at The White Horse with Ameripolitan Outlaw Female Bonnie Montgomery (rumor has it she might move to town, yay!). I’d say the summer is gonna be a doggone good one.

I’m also so looking forward to heading to California for my West Coast tour from July 5-8th. Check out all details at “Tour” here. Last but not least I’m still working on my blues record which is finally getting mastered in LA. Still looking for the right home for it and will let you know when we do.

Also, I want to thank Ernie Ball strings for the endorsement. I love having my special string gauges so close at hand, pun intended! Hope to see some friends and fans at one or more of the shows. Stay safe and have an enjoyable summer. Maybe I’ll see you on your summer vacation!

Cheers, rosie
