New Year, New Fun!

Hey everybody! Just got back from the NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. Had lots of fun hanging at the James Trussart Guitar booth jamming with the cool and great Earl Slick as well as Rockabilly legend Danny B. Harvey and also Bobby Cochran (Eddie Cochran’s nephew). Also enjoyed my time hanging at Gretsch Guitars and Taylor Guitars where all the energy of the day kept buzzing with music and friendly musician types. With all the guitar press and appreciation surrounding me, (Guitar Player Mag. Jan issue and Premier Guitar latest issue) it’s great to finally be considered a guitar player after all these years by the industry, and it’s about time cause I’ve been playing lead guitar since my first all girl band that I started in 1966 “Penelope’s children” and later on in the 80’s, the Screamin’ Sirens out of Hollywood. Anyway, I’m having a blast now. The year started off with a fun show at the Moody Theater in Austin celebrating 35 years of the music of Alejandro Escovedo Who invited me to do a couple of his songs. I love the “Velvet Guitar” song that i performed and you can find our performance on Youtube and share in the excitement if you put in: rosie flores velvet guitar. If this first month of the year is any indication of what’s yet to come, then I’m gonna love sharing some great stories with you all as the months flow by. Do check in every month for my updates! Happy New Year to you all and thanks for stopping by to see and hear what’s new in “rosie world”. Cheers, rf
